This year-end school holiday, cook up a storm together as a family at our Little Day Outing with Mount Alvernia Hospital: Creative Cooking Family Challenge!

Not only will you enjoy the excitement of a fun cooking competition, you’ll also learn about nutrition and healthy eating from the experts – Mount Alvernia Hospital’s dieticians – in fun, interactive ways. From designing craft-and-games based activities for the kids to demystifying food label reading for the adults, the dieticians will help everyone gain a better understanding of what it means to eat healthy.

Put your newfound knowledge into practice as you create your dishes for the challenge: Animal Sushi Bento for the main course and Teddy Skiing Winterland Cupcakes for dessert!

These oh-so-cute creations are not just good-looking, they are delicious and nutritious too! Healthy ingredient options have been used in the recipe to increase the nutritional content without compromising on taste!

You don’t have to be proficient in cooking to join in the fun! Our chef will be demonstrating how to prepare these dishes, after which you can add your own creative touches to make them your own! The family with the most creative and nutritious dishes will be crowned our Creative Cooking Family Challenge champion!

At the end of the challenge, each family will receive a certificate of participation, a photo with their creations, a Little Day Out printed magazine (November 2018 edition), and a value-packed goodie bag!

There are three types of tickets available:
– A child-adult pair ticket – $48 (Each child-adult pair ticket entitles you to a sushi bento and 6 cupcakes.)
– An additional child ticket – $30 (This can only be used in conjunction with a child-adult pair ticket. Each additional child ticket entitles you to a sushi bento and 6 cupcakes.)
– An additional adult ticket – $18 (This can only be used in conjunction with a child-adult pair ticket. An additional adult ticket enables you to experience the joy of cooking with your child.)

Child tickets are for children aged 4.5 and up.
Ticket holders will be contacted with details on the meeting point and what to bring on the Monday before the outing.
